Chris is the founder of Apex Projects and has gone onto build it into the successful construction company it is today. A carpenter by trade, Chris trained and worked in the building industry in New Zealand, prior to spending fifteen years in the United Kingdom where he gained valuable experience in construction running his own business. After returning to New Zealand, he once again established his own building business, Apex Projects. He is decisive and results driven leader, focused on the operational delivery of Apex Projects; bringing resources together to create a quality product for his clients.

Over the past 20 years’ Mike has built an extensive career in the building industry. Since coming off the tools his career has focused on project management, business development and contracts management. Mike’s expertise extends across numerous sectors – commercial, warehouse / industrial, retail, sports & aquatics and residential. He believes that success comes through good relationships, and he understands the intricacies involved in the construction process from standing tilt panels to seeing the carpet get laid. Mike offers straight talking construction experience to our clients. Mike enjoys client interaction at the highest level, helping to provide clear thinking with regards to the strategy and direction of the project.

Bertie is a Senior Quantity Surveyor whose experience spans over 12 years’ within the UK and New Zealand.  His diverse range of specialties include commercial, industrial warehouse/office, schools, residential, cinemas, airport expansion, ministry of defense new build accommodation, dining facilities, gyms & UK listed building refurbishments. He’s a stickler for detail and committed to delivering financial performance on all projects. Bertie’s well-honed skills are focused around creating trust and accountability for his clients.

Charlie is a carpenter by trade with 17 years in the building industry, who has since come off the tools to pursue a career in project management.  After completing a building apprenticeship in New Zealand, Charlie headed to the United Kingdom gaining further experience in residential, light commercial construction and shopfitting projects throughout the UK.  Later establishing his own business with a clientele in high end residential refits and renovations in and around London.  Returning to New Zealand Charlie started his own business again briefly in Auckland before opting to move closer to family after the 2010 Christchurch Earthquakes, where he now calls Canterbury home.  Charlie brings a considered, fresh approach to project management for his clients with a keen eye for detail and an aptitude for problem solving focused on efficient delivery
